Mercedes-Benz Dealer Championships - August 8, 2011
Sponsored by Fox Motors of Traverse City with lodging provided by The Homestead of Glen Arbor. One hundred dollars will be donated to The Father Fred Foundation of Traverse City for each tournament participant. The Father Fred Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping provide food, clothing, household goods and cash assistance for families in need in Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau Counties.

Field: Open to the public
Format: 18-hole, two-person best ball using the Peoria Handicap System. The tourmanent committee selects a par 3, 4 and 5 on each nine. Multiply the amount over par on the selected holes by three to get the handicap to be deducted. Maximum score is double par.
Tees: All men will play the blue tees at a yardage of 6,300 yards and ladies will play the red tees at a yardage of 4,700 yards.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin at Hole 3 (prize: Nike wedge), Hole 7 (prize: Homestead gift certificate) and Hole 17 (prize: four rounds of golf with cart at Manitou Passage), hole-in-one at Hole 13 (prize: Mercedes-Benz automobile) and Hole 15 (vehicle lease); and longest ladies drive at Hole 5 and longest men's drive at Hole 10 (prizes: $50 pro shop gift certificate).
Cost: $200 per player or $375 per two-person team. $100 for each person will be donated to the Father Fred Foundation of Traverse City.

1st Annual Lighthouse Cup Matches - August 23, 2011

Timing
- 9:00am: Shotgun start best ball matches

- 2:30pm: Shotgun start singles matches
- 5:00pm: Appetizers, cocktails and awards
Field: Members of Traverse City Golf & Country Club and Members of Manitou Passage Golf Club. All players must have a USGA handicap index. Maximum 18-hole handicap allowed for event is 18.
Format: Two 12-player teams in a 27-hold match play format. Morning matches consiste of 18 holes best ball play with a partner. Each match is worth 19 points - one per hole plus one additional "bonus" point for the overall match winner. All holes that are halved will result in a 1/2 point for each team. If the overall match is halved, each team will receive half of th bonus point. The afternoon matches are individual singles play and will be worth 10 points - one for each hole and one additional "bonus" point for the oveall match winner. If any hole is halved, a 1/2 point will be awarded to each player. If the overall match is halved, each player will receive 1/2 of the bonus point. Team with the most points attained will win the cup. At the conclusion of play, if there is a tie the inaugural cup will be considered a draw. Each club will share the cup for one year. In the following year, if there is a tie, the cup holder will retain the cup until the next matches.
Tees: All players will play the blue tees at a yardage of 6,300 yards. Course rating - 69.8. Slope - 29.
Handicaps: The handicap for this event shall have a maximum of 18.0. One hundred percent of the individual handicap will be used. The four-ball matches will be stroked off the low individual handicap player. One hundred percent of the individual handicap will be used for the singles matches. We will stroke off the low individual player.
Cost: $150 per player includes golf, cart, food, team shirt, hat and prizes.
